The ASEAN-EC International HRD convention & exhibition

In most developing nations, in this day and age of rapidly advancing technology and globalisation, there is a shortage of skilled workforce in the country. The technology is changing so fast that knowledge becomes obsolete over more quickly. Human resources plays a vital role in ensuring the necessary skills to face these issues are put in place, thereby maximising efficiency thus resulting to higher levels of productivity. Training will thus become a continuous need and the remaining jobs will require greater skills. Therefore, greater emphasis is placed upon education and training to expand skills.

The ASEAN-EC International Human Resource Exhibition aims to expose these challenges in this new economy and as a means to highlight to the participants the importance of human expertise which can be attained through the sharing of information. The host envisages this to be the first and biggest event organised by ASEAN-EC Management yet. The organisers believe this is well-timed with the Brunei National development Plan which provides special focus to the advancement of the human resources in the country.

Exhibitors can benefit by showcasing their products and services to local and international customers. This is the essence of the exhibition - to bring decision-makers to meet exhibitors, ready to do business. The creation of an educated and skilled workforce remains a key government priority. It is the place where the movers and shakers in these sectors converge to do business.
